Default What is the best CAI after AEM V2?

I'm looking for a cold air intake for my 95 Accord EX V6. I ordered the AEM V2 only to find it wouldn't fit, it was for 4cyl. Thankfully I got it from amazon so I can return it but I'm bummed out, I was so excited.

I later found out AEM doesn't make anything for V6 models below 1998. That is unfortunate because everyone says AEM makes the best.

What would be my next best option?

K&N drop in filter will achieve the same 0-1% increase in power an AEM V2 will. I'd take the K&N drop in route.

What do you mean by "drop in". Do you mean keep the stock filterbox system and change only the filter or get one of those cone shaped filters? I'm also looking for that roaring sound not just power increase.

Those year's Accord V6 intake is very easy to fabricate an after market piece. Just remove the stock intake, find a short pipe, and stick a filter on the end. Or, do what was suggested and just get a "high performance" drop in filter. Either way, you probably won't really notice a difference, other than the sound of an after market unit.

Okay, I see, then just pick up a random generic e-bay intake if you want the sound. I guarantee power gains from some $10.00 ebay intake will be the same as some $200+ intake with a brand name on it.

you could drill holes in the bottom of your air box (below the filter element) and put in a larger diameter pipe between the engine and air-box and that should give you the noise/sound you want from the engine on full throttle....you know "let it breath".

I'm not sure if your gen accord has a resonator airbox but i have a 6th gen v6 and took out the resonator and you get the roaring sound you'll want. I also have the k&n drop in filter people suggested. It was cheap.. ~30 dollars and very easy to do. I'd suggest trying that if you want to save money
