Default Water leak in driver's door

2000 GSR

Took the car through a drive through machine wash, got wet from water making its way into the car through the top of the door.

Now a window leak. The water came in between the door and headliner, window was all the way up and seems to seal fine.

All rubber weather stripping looks intact and in place.

I tried to tweak the door a little to apply more pressure at the top by holding the bottom of the door out from the car with my foot and pulling in on the top. Didn't seem to make a difference.

No issues with the passenger side.

I've had the car for 8 years now, and this is the first leak. Doesn't seem to be the typical moonroof drain tube issue.

Ideas / suggestions?

Seems like a sunroof drain tube to me. Common leakage is in the back, but ya gotta remember, there's four drain tubes and two are in front. It won't hurt to check em out and if that's not the problem, you will have lost nothing except for 20 minutes of your day.

sounds like you could trace it on a dry day with a glass or two of water. pour it where suspect, open the door and inspect

Hum, I'll have to find instructions on removing the headliner then. I believe that needs to come out to check the drain tubes...
