So i got my c/f spoon rep mirrors today which are supposed to be oem fitting but I'v to wire them myself.

Anybody do this before:

My car is ej2 coupe civic 3wires in the oem mirror wiring.

There are 3 wires in the Spoon mirrors
White
Green
Yellow

i got some for free when i got swiped and somebody following the swiper drove over the mirror they took off and... well, yup.

i just connected wires around and played with them for a bit, THEY WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. however, i got mine so up is down, down is up, etc. other wires combos make them up is left, left is down, down does nothing, or whatever. im trying to locate a set of f1 or vision dc mirrors, the really skinny things. oem mirrors are too big, and spoon knockoffs are junk.

just one of the LOVELY side effects of ebay, you get what you pay for.

and heres another part you'll like: once theyre on, go 40mph or faster. the glass piece inside the mirror housing will flutter like a crack addict on withdrawl. theres a DIY floating around about how to fix this, not sure how good it is.

 

i have these on my car and done 140+ with no movement.
but like you said the wiring sucks

damn what motor you running? i hit 115-120 and im redlined in 5th, z16z6 w/ a y8 tranny.

offtopic, is the pic you have, your actual car?[some ppl just jack pics]. if so, might i ask about your hood? what brand is it, how long have you had it, and hows it as far as quality?

im looking into a carbon fiber hood, but i dont want the peeling clear issue everyone seems to get.

 

my car is ej2 RHD (as i live in Ireland) the motor is JDM B18c type r, and as for the hood it is standard just painted black that is now peeling but the whole car getting resprayed white soon

 

ahhh, one of them =P i thought only v dubs were prone to the infamous black painted hoods.

you can park on the sidewalk in ireland? nifty! must reduce the amount of drunk-driver related side swipes, as mine was probably quite intoxicated, or at least enough to successfully maneuver a hit-and-run.

i can get mine to go up and down but nt left and right. up and down i guess it is lol. tried all combinations and can't get left or right to work,
