car wont start makes clicking sound
I havent drove the car in a week, I tried to jump the car and then tired to crank but just keep hearing 3 clicks. I noticed on my tach gauge the rpm went up to 10 thousand then stopped made like 3 clicking sounds but nothing happened. Is it the battery, starter soenoid?
I have no way of knowing if theres any codes cause my cluster doesnt work at all. Ive got an electrical nightmare. What u think
Im mechanicaly inclined any help appreciated

no should i jump it then wait for a while to charge it. The battery is prbly dead or somethn so if i just leave the other car on while i jump it would it charge it or?
change your starter i just had this problem. for the mean time get someone or yourself to tap hard on the starter. while you or somebody tries to start it it should start right yup

Replace the battery. If the battery is completly dead, even jumping it won't help, becaues it doesn't have enough amperage. Replace the battery and you'll be good
yea ive noticed that I just reset the ecu and tried to start and my tach is set on 8 and it climed to 10krpm and just stopped and my my car alarm beeped. I dunno what thats about
That is enough there, the battery is done, your alarm is beeping/ going off because there isn't enough voltage to keep is on... I would take your battery to Adv Auto/ Autozone/Whatever place you have where you are are, and have them test it.
Go get it tested. But if it's that dead, they usually do not come back. I installed Car Stereo for 5 years and have seen this happen many times. You can get it tested see if it passes and if it does put it on a trickle charger.
Once it gets tested you can do further troubleshooting. The clicking noise is the starter motor trying to turn the flywheel. But not having enough voltage or current is making it click because it's not able to turn that mass

if you keep trying to start it with out the battery being charger you'll burn the starter up..its free to get the batt tested at like advanced auto or autozone...the if thats the prob just replace the batt instead of ruining the starter too...
It honestly sounds like a starter problem but vwtohonda sounds like he knows what he is talking about and testing a battery isnt that bad so just test the battery.
Yea, like I said. I'm not saying 100% battery, but it needs to be tested Good before further troubleshooting occurs. Can't jump steps. If you don't know one, you can't figure out the other. If i'm right, +rep would be nice
haha, good luck!
