Ok so I got my obd1 conversion done. OBD1 PR4 on b18a1 in my sedan... Car is running pretty good, except for the fact I have a cel for code 9 TDC/crank/cyl sensor... is this fixable? Or is my dizzy doneski? Any help or advice is appreciated...
I had that also when I did my swap. Check your dizzy wiring to make sure everything is correct. What happened to mine was I had one bad wire with no connectivity, I used a multi-meter for this. Once I changed that wire out, my CEL 9 code went away. If you have a spare dizy, you can try that first to see if that is the problem, if not, it has to do with the wiring. Good Luck!
means you need a new dizzy for sure

Cool I apreciate that, I know that the sensors are plugged into the right places, but forgot about checking to make sure that they are making contact with one another. Ill have to ask one of my buddies to lend me his dizzy and see what happens if anything... any other suggestions?

arent you running it obd1!
nah. but thought it would fit.oh well
did you remove the dumb grommets that were behind the pins? the obd0 ones are way bigger than the obd1 ones.

I followed this pic here....

I will try to get some pics of my harness, a little bit of a pita at the moment since my internet is down and I'm posting from my phone. But the repin is self explanatory since all the wire colors are the same except the two whites on obd0.

So I'm trying to find the dizzy spacing on the sensors inside since they may not be adjusted to spec. I went by the helms manual at checking for this code and everything checks out so I'm thinking the sensor in the dizzy may not be picking up... any one know the clearence?

Guess I'm going to have to try out another ecu and/or dizzy because I adjusted the sensor and I'm still getting a code 9 and everything checks out ok according to the helms manual...

Complete idiot, mods lock this up, I had the blu/grn /// blu/ylw wires reversed at the shock tower plug when I made my tuck harness
. Those colors fade over time, so be careful guys! Code 9 is no more, now obd1 with no CELs!

hey i just bought a 90 civic hatch with an ls swap and my cel is on its asking for code 7 and 9. i dont really know if the guys who did the swap did the wireing correctly do you think you can post a picture and the location of were you found the wires that were on the wrong place. or what do you recommend me checking first.
