I need the P2J-? Code for a 2000 Civic EX Automatic. Engine is D16Y8. Im looking for the head becuase i was sold a 97 a while back when i did not know that it would not fit properly. Now i know, and im rebuilding the whole engine. Ive been looking for the head but cannot find it. Some people ask me for the P2J # and I dont know.

If you have a 2000 Civic EX Automatic. Can you check the # for me? It is on the Exhuast manifold side of the head.

Also, If you know of a good place that has or might have a 2000 D16Y8 head in the 310,323,or 562 Area in So-Cal. I would greatly appreciate it if you could PM the info.

What do you mean it won't fit properly? I was always under the impression that all D-series parts(1988-2000) were interchangeable.
In for info, cause I just got a 1997 D16y8 head to put on my 2000 D16y7, until engine swap.

 

I mean. If you tried the put the 97 D16Y8 head. On a 2000 Block. It will fit. The differences are in the intake manifold. Look at the D16y8 97 Intake manifold gasket and a 2000 gasket. You will see what i mean. A D16y8 97 Intake Manifold is different than a D16Y8 2000 intake manifold.

I think the differences are that the 2000 has different placement in the vacuum line holes.

Somebody correct me if im wrong.
