Tps problems...?
My tps broke during my slap i got an used one and replaced it but i just put it on I know your supposed to set it up with a multimeter....
Now my car has no check engine light at all and everything is working how it should except that my car feels like if it was miss firing or running only on 2 cylinders has no power at all sometimes it even shuts off if i dont hit the gas.
My question is would me not setting up my tps cause that? its like my throttle does not respond at the time it should so could this be a cause?
By the way I have a b16 ef obd0 pr3 ecu and motor ran perfect before swap and I still have not installed my whole exhaust system only running the half header jdm obd0 b16 engines come with.

If ur stepping on the gas and it feels like the motor is just saying no, your tps isn't right
you NEED to get the multimeter out. put the positive lead from the meter on the middle wire of the tps, turn the key to on but dont start the engine, put the negative lead on a good ground
turn the tps back and forth until it reads .45 volts and with your throttle open 5 volts
should transition smoothly from .45 closed to 5v open
then screw it down
At least i know d-series tps are adjusted this way
Alternatively if you don't have a multimeter, turn the tps back and forth until it revs up smoothly
the lack of exhaust will make your car bog slightly because there is no back pressure, but im pretty sure what you are talking about is your tps needs adjusted

Thanks for your info i needed it but i just checked my car and the dam thing is running on 2 cylinders and i think its because of my injectors they are junk i needed new ones anyways for my obd1 conversion hopefully that what kept my car from turning on while it was converted to obd1
