I just finished by H2B swap. It is mostly stock with headers and skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body. I just got it tuned on a hondata S300, there is a problem. It will not rev past 6500 rpm. There is oil, vtec is hooked up, no check engine lights have come on, it may be my vss sensor. Since I did the swap, the MPH jumped up about 500 or so, and jumped back down. Can anyone help me? vtec signal wire is hooked up, no oil pressure wires are hook in. using a s300 vtec works! no codes form the hondata!?

You sure the rev limit isnt set at 6500 rpm?

 

This was happening right before my dizzy took a ****....
H series motors notoriously have dizzy issues.
Don't mess with anything except brand new OEM(IMHO) I tried something else the 1st time, it only lasted about 2yrs and died.

But yeah, is the rev limiter set to 6500?

 

what usually fails inside the distributor? is it the ignitor?
