Default my crx setup.

i ran a 1/8 miles and see what u guys

1990 crx si
gutted weight 2310 with me in it. i weight 193lbs
b16a with y1 LSD
skunk2 pro valves(std compresson), pro valve spring, ti retainer.
match ported hondata im gasket.
blox intake mani 64mm opening, blox tuner tb 68mm
gsr cams
aem adjustable gears -2, -2
stock mls head gasket with arp head stud
stock bottom end.
obd1 gsr dizzy, ecu and jumper.
lightweight flywheel, and act stg 2 clutch.
tuned on crome. i haven't finish the tuning. 14.5-7 idle, 13.5 before vtec. 13 at vtec all the way to 7k, then it get about 12.8 begining of 7 and then all the way to 11.8 on 9k. still need to rework the top part. then i think it be ok.

here what i ran 3 runs

first run
2.33 60ft
6.1 330ft
9.8@69.8mph
i ran from 1st 2rd to 5th after trying to jam the shifter between 3rd and 5th, thanks to short gear shifter. lol

second run
2.33 60ft
6.1 330
9.57@75.9
my tires grab, but my launch control is set at 5k, and it spin for a sec and rpm drop to 3500rpm then climb, really killing me off the line. and shifting at 8200rpm

third run
2.31 60ft
6.09 330
9.61@75.2mph
same launch problem and i didn't have my computer so i can't set my launch
bog down on launch to 3500. i shifted at 9100rpm

so i thinking either i not making power after 82 or becuz i running rich on top still.
but anyway. this is all 1/8mile times, there's no 1/4mile close by, but what u guys think about my time? i think my cams really holding me back, the skunk2 valve train gave the motor life, respond very fast, and few stronger all the way thu,

if i can get my launch right, i thinking 9.1 to 9.3 is possilble and also working on pro1 cams, i really want to get to 8.9 before i turbo it.
thx

Your cams are probably part of what's holding you back.

If you are planning on turbo you might not want to swap cams though.

Clean up your tunes and shave some time off your 60fts you should be able to get 2.2s or 2.1s on any decent street tire and suspension.

If you can get your driving down, you should be able to get to 8.9. I did it in my crx with a stock b16 all day long

i got falken azenis 2055015, my tires hook up just fine at 5k, but i still bog, so i figure i need to get it up to 5500? my tires was about 19-20psi.

i gonna work on the supension next, i have cut spring on front and tokico on back, stock strut. it ride just like stock supension, i don't like my car slam. any suggestion on suspension, i not looking into spending crap load money on that. something basic and work.

well, cams i going to get them, after hearing about pro1s cams and also i have full skunk2 pro valve train, it can take it. sometime end off this year i gonna turbo the motor around 10lbs then next year, i sending the block out the jg dyn.. to have my b16 block sleeve and build, but i do kinda going to all motor... but i wouldn't use b16a block to do all motor. so i thinking b18/b20. really haven't decide, but i love the b16a rev. it just awesome.

Well are they the old model or current azenis? If they are current keep them as is and work on launches if the old one I'd try bleeding the psi a touch more as well.

No offense but your suspension is rubbish and part of what's holding you back. Just search around a bit you can have a few nice options for simple low cost systems, what you want out of the car and your budget are up to you.

Before you cam make your mind up if you are going turbo or not. Pro1s and turbos aren't great friends.

well yea i know the suspension suck. but it will do for the moment.

i also was going to do energy bushing all the way around

the azenis is new. rt615. they grab good, oh street when i launch to 5000, i do spin way more and bog to 4000, at the track i have it 20psi, and i launch at the same, it spin may be less then a sec and it hooked then i bog to 3500.

one thing i'm not sure, everyone i have talk to that have b16a, they all say they pull hard 1st and 2rd and 3rd 4th fall on his face. my motor is different 1st pull a little it spin the tires around 7k, shift to 2rd and it pull hard and 3rd is the amzing gear for this motor. but idk, becuz i thought b16a suck 1,2 gear and shine on 3rd.
on a 08 civic si, i pull 1 car off line, about 3 on 2rd, and 9 or 10 around 3rd. if i can get my 2rd pull as hard as 3rd i be good to go, lol.

the reason i was going with pro 1 becuz i have asked here before about cams for choice on my motor. everyone had said i should go with pro 1 and they said it work well with turbo. but i really don't know, i just know i got the valve train to handle the power, and skunk2 told me about pro1 will help with b16a low end problem.
