I'm debating to do a poor mans type r on my Teg. Im jw, if I get a B16 head and type R pistons, can I use the stock gsr rods with it?

the term is also kind of a misnomer. real itr engines can be had from jdm importers for $2500 shipped

Yes but I would go with the b16 pistons. You'll get around the same compression with a little more piston clearance.

imo i would just get a real itr swap, it will never feel like a itr until you get the itr trans, and a ls vtec is not a poor mans type r, there's really no such thing imo,
