i got a 5th gen lude... tiptronic.. i blew my tranny yesterday, wont catch gears, and all it does is rev when i drive it in manual... i need to get a new tranny and fast.. does anyone know where i can get a cheap one in the los angeles area? it can be tiptronic or stick idk.. i just need one fast and for cheap.. PLEASE HELP!!! i dont want to sell her

 

this is kind of the wrong section for this... but best place would be craigslist as its local.. if not you can go online to maybe hmotors online or something, they might have some. but honestly craigslist is the best, and POSSIBLY ebay.

If it only has problems when u drive it in manual mode why dont u just stop driving like that? Dont beat on the car for a while, save up for a manual swap, then swap it over when u get a few days to work on the car... i wouldnt put another auto in there

 

i just found one for my 97 at my local junkyard for 600...thats probably gonna be your best bet. Beware though most have alot of miles on them...
