hey i just swooped on these headers the other day from the local junk yard. Im posting in here because Im not sure what kind of honda motor they will fit on. I was told it would fit on any B-Series motor, and I have a teg myself So i would like to put them on. How can I tell which motor it will fit? can any DC header fit on any honda motor? thanks!

 

looks like a dc 4-1 98 itr knockoff...if it has the 2.5" collector you'l need a corresponding cat/test pipe that bolts up. should fit all b series motors

 

hahah knock off really? what determines a knockoff from the real thing? im assuming the carb legal number lol.... but thank you.

 

oh nono it's a real dc header lol, it's modeled after the 98 spec itr oem unit. It's a nice/quality piece

 

the DC header was right where it belonged. The Junkyard. Hideous header IMO.

Look up the the carb number on the plate...google it, google should come up with an answer.

 

Try putting it on, if it doesnt fit then its for a B16. Its not hard to swap a header out

 

clean it up and slap it on.

 

it should work none the less youll get some kind of gain for cheap it was junk yard good buy

The angle of the collector flange will tell you whether it's for a b16 or b18. Looks like the b18 though.

If your ride is dumped, you are going to regret running this header. I installed these on my dad's teg (98' LS Coupe). It's rolling on q8's (15x6.5 in. with 205 profile tires), there is like a 1.5 in gap between the tires and the fenders and I have scrapped this header numerous times. If the car was any lower, I would've pancaked the headers already. Also, the 4-1 is kind of a b**** to install. It required removal of the AC/Radiator fans. From the looks of it, the headers are already pancaked slightly. =X

 

yea they are pancaked, and my ride is pretty dumped. was thinking about selling them

 

Are you a DB8 or DB7? your car is clean BTW. I roll a db8. I used to rock a tri-y, one day I let my friend drive and he somehow busted the welds on top of the header. =( no bueno.

 

haha excuse me its on a db7. and thank you for the compliment ^^. yea thats why i was considering selling it, might have to many problems and it might not have fit. But now that I know it fits im starting to reconsider everything..... lol

 

Just put it on. Worst case is you scrape and/or don't like and and take it off to sell.
