my question is...
will integra type r headers bolt up to my ls motor without any modification...or will it need to be modified...or will it just not work at all???
someone told me they would...and someone else told me they wouldnt



any help would be great

It will bolt up to the head, not the exhaust.

 

yea it will bolt the b16 has the same head casting as the itr and the b16 and the ls have the same part number for the header

 

so i think im gonna get the headers, have a muffler shop cut of a flange on the spoon test pipe since its for a prelude and have em weld on a flange that matches the itr headers.

any thought on this idea....good idea...bad idea...do it...or...dont do it...

 

do it, it's the best way, and most cost effective.

 

I have em on my ls, great upgrade, as long as you stick to your plan for it and don't rig it like the dude did to mine it'll turn out great, after the cat the idiot went from the size the type-r collector is into a like 1.5 inch pipe then welded that to a hand bent (so it's all crimped up) 2.5 inch pipe

 

for sure fellaz...i dont plan on ghetto riggin anything...im "TRYIN" to have everything done as clean as possible...

hopefully it'll be a good upgrade all together...
since i already have a greddy cat-back exhaust (2 1/2in piping) and a cp cold air intake...

im keepin all the stock parts for smog reasons...lol...

 

i have a 98 spec JDM ITr 4-1 HEADER.. without heatshield for sale.. $300 bucks picked up.. two baby scratchs on the bottom of the header.. Near Mint condition!..
