03 Odyssey - Power Sliding Door Issue
On occassion the doors will not want to close all the way. Normally, we can let the beep go three times, then push the 'door closed' button and it will finish closing.
Now the driver side power sliding door won't even do that. It just stays popped open the slightest bit. I have to physically bump it closed.
I've checked the lock area, no out of place findings. Same with the top and bottom track, nothing in the way. Could the pin connecters not be working and need a cleaning? ...certain way to clean them?
Any ideas at all?
Thanks for reading and any help you may be able to offer.

Clean the electrical contacts on the door and door jam. My method is break off the eraser on a pencil and put it in a drill them buff the contacts. start with the flat ones then go to the pointy ones. also make sure the center roller is in good condtion.
junction switches go bad all the time...
also there are two grounds on each side of the rear you need to clean, remove the plastics a little bit behind the rear glass and you will see a 10mm on each side remove the bolt chase the threads clean the paint then reinstall.

Rick's - Thanks, I did try it. It did seem to be a little better, but just for one open/close.
Dr.g & 99blackcivicsi - Will do over the weekend.
The buzzing noise is really getting old. Goes off/on all the time. Once i get it to work properly, trading away! Kiddies are getting a bit older, so back to a 4cyl sedan.
Thanks to all again. I'll be back with results.

Cleaning teh contact on the door and door jam did the trick. Works like new now! But I could just the eraser bits with power tools. It tore'em up really quick. Took my time doing it by hand with the eraser piece. I did use a small soft buffer on my dremel afterward and that worked out ok.
Thanks for the help guys!
