Head Gasket Replacement - Car getting hot
Here is my problem... My car just started to overheat. At first I thought that it could be air in my cooling system. But I am not running a thermostat, so I was told that it is not possible for air to be trapped in my cooling system. Is this correct?
Next if that is correct, then it has to be a bad head gasket correct? Does anyone have step by step insturctions on how to replace a head gasket on a 2000 si with a b16?
Or do you have any suggestions on what my problem could be? My heater blows hot and my fan is on a manual switch, so I can always have it on... So i know that a bad fan is not the problem.
Thanks for your help.

air in your system doesnt mean bad head gasket for sure .....if you run hot as hell and keep doing it yeah maybe ...hook your thermostat up fill your radiator and bleed the system theres a bleeder on the motor follow the top radiator hose back to the motor there should be a valve ...open it with a 12 mm wrench and star the car wAit till thers no more air bubbles comming out of it and tighten it back up refill your radiator and put the cap on if your car dosent start , keeps running hot or there is a sweet smell from your exhaust then worry bout the head gasket
