How can you tell from a real itr strut bar, to a fake one?

 

The hardware (bolts are different), sticker, and I believe the bar itself.

 

Real itr strut bars are heavy (not cheap alluminum). They're silver, not cheap flaking annodized gold. The hardware have nuts with no washers, and the stickers on the oem bar are flush and shouldn't peel right off or fall off the day u get ur bar. Not 2 mention the mounting brackets are more solid on a true r sway bar.


Ie. Oem all day, ebay no way

 

Because I just bought one and it doesn't have the itr sticker.

Exactly, the real bar has channels running down the length, like 3 square tubes against eachother, where as the knockoffs are just hollow.

 

I've seen replica ITR front shock tower braces that have the triple-wall interior reinforcing just like the real one.

And I'm pretty sure the real one uses an extruded aluminum section, too.

 

Yeah i had a fake one that had the triple wall too. Its a strut bar, the fake one will work just as well as a real one.

hmm yup, looks pretty much identical except for the sticker. Replica has the same aluminum bar extrusion and the same-shaped end pieces on the rear bar.
