I have a really weird sound coming from my front driver's side brake when I'm driving very slowly and braking very lightly. It almost sounds like a creaking metal spring or something, and it seems to occur approximately twice per revolution of the wheel. Also, I get a vibration in my steering wheel when braking from higher speeds similar to what you'd feel with a warped rotor, but not always. Both of these problems seem to be intermittent. Below are links to two different videos with the sound I'm talking about. Any ideas?

I don't think it's the dust guard because I can feel it grinding in the brake pedal. I wouldn't think a dust shield could exert that much force.
I don't think the wheel is dented. I think I can see where you might say that, but I think it's just an optical illusion in the video or something. The car drives fine, the tires hold pressure, and I just had new tires mounted and balanced last fall.
