Small Dilemma!

i have a stage 2 clutch in my 89 crx si. but everything in that car CANNOT withstand the stiffness of the clutch. First i had a problem with the Clutch Cable Bracket. i had to replace that and reinforce it!

Now i have a problem with the bracket that the clutch PEDAL pivots on






i went to start the car in the morning and the son of a gun just SNAPPED!!




now i wanted to get sum opinions. Should i completly remove and replace it.
or should i keep that bracket and weld it and REINFORCE that!

o and ps....I AM PLANNING ON KEEPING THE CLUTCH!

 

Reinforce the bracket, it a common problem with a HD PP

 

lol .Happened to me when I put my clutch in my crx. Just remove the pedal assembly, bend it back into place, weld some fat beads around it, and re-enforce it with some brackets. I havent had a problem since.

btw when welding it watch out the bushings, they melt easily.
