Default engine mounts advice - Anchor Brand

I need to change the rear engine mount on my 97 accord and I have been looking around and pricing mounts...

I can get the brand Anchor for about $48 on rockauto ($62 at advance) but I am unfamiliar with this brand.. Has anyone used it or had any experience?

Next, I can get the brand MTC for $80 or Beck/Arnley for $85

Finally, the cheapest I have found the OEM mount is for the whopping price of $215...

What would you advise I do? The labour wouldn't actually be that much surprisingly because my mechanic works ultra cheap and he has to take off the intake manifold to change the gasket and clean out anyway...

Thanks

I replaced the front mount in my 97 I4 with an Anchor from rock auto it was $30 less than local for the same brand. Quality is good, it has been fine so far for about 6k miles.

Probably the OEM is with the vacuum line on it. The aftermarket options may not have that.

I have used them before, but for other cars than Honda. some appear to be good and others are a little shady. If you are going through the trouble of changing the rear mount, i would use the OE part if you can afford it. If not, I'd save up for one. It's not easy to change out and you want to do it once.

All of the above mentioned come with the vacuum actually,

As I said, labour cost of changing rear mount isnt an issue, my mechanic in Trinidad works cheeeeeep... He would change a rear mount for like $25 US...

So I just cant justify 4x the cost unless its really worth it

I'm sure the Beck/Arnley would be fine. I just am not sure the Anchor will be the best choice. I had forgotten how high the OE part is.

Interesting, I think I purchased a TAS Auto replacement (non-oem) rear mount. I know that had the vacuum connection on it too.

Were you shopping for an auto mount or manual muffin?
The auto mount is much more complicated and by extension expensive...

ilikehonda - In terms of mods, im planning on doing I/H/E and possibly cams for now...
Think it could handle that?

Anyone have experience with the beck/arnley to know if its any better?

Thanks

pick it up then buy some energy suspension inserts.... still cheaper than a stock or aftermarket one and will hold any amount of all motor power you want to throw at it.

Well, how will it feel in terms of vibration? Despite me modding the car, my dad also frequently drives it so it still has to be very close to stock in terms of vibration and feel...

I've heard of energy before but haven't had experience with their products as yet..

The one thing i'm not too clear on is if energy makes inserts for the automatic mounts or just manual...

From the appearance they look to be manual, but i'll probably call and ask just to be safe..
