I have 3 alarms, which should I install?
Okay, so I've got a few options for car alarms since I'm a cheap ***.
I have an old Audiovox Prestige APS-775 unit that I used to have on the del Sol but pulled off when the car went into storage with the military.
I have 2 Commando 550-S alarms that are brand new that I had bought with the intention of installing it on the Civic that I once had and on the Element. I could use one of those for the del Sol.
Or, I have a DEI Viper 300 ESP (old) unit that I somehow acquired but it's missing the remote transmitter and may need a new antenna. I'm downloading the manuals now.
Either alarm I pick, I'm going to install it with the everything completely out of the car and run it along the factory wiring with wire loom. I plan on using many of the tips on the Cause for Alarm website.
So what do you guys recommend? Old trusty Audiovox, brand new Commando unit, or reuse the old Viper?
