Hey guys, thanks ahead for any help you can give, i'm trying to help out a buddy with his accord and i know a lot of the newer jdm rsx and civic ecu don look for the key transponder being that they are not emobilized over there in japa n the uk, so anyway, he has a 1998 accord ex model, the factory ecu got wet and took a crap on him, he not being a car guy went and got one out of a yard and being a dumb *** grabed an lx non vtec ecu then went had the car towed to the dealer and had had them re-emobilize the ecu to the key and car, so now he has no vtec,lol yeah he is a dumb ***, he came and saw me after the fact (i was out of town for a few weeks) i gave him a obd1 p13 ecu with a jumper harness to use fior now but i need that back, so finally my question for you guys is what is the factory ecu code for his cars ecu being that he doesn't have it anymore i need to know to get him another on, or i need to know if i can get him a jdm ecu and get around all the crap of having to get it re-emmobilized, thanks for any help you can offer on this.

 

My EuroR doesn't have imobiliser, it has a "PCD" OBD2B ECU though. To get it to work it would require the moving of one pin in your mates harness / ECU plug to make it work.
Good luck finding one of these ECU's though.
