OP, to maximize your flow you will need a tuned header and exhaust, depending on your motor's setup different headers and exhaust sizes will behave differently.
So in theory you want a header and exhaust it'll out pro form factory parts. Assuming the aftermarket parts are of quality.

Once again the whole back pressure thing... Where is a link to that great post that explains exhaust gas scavenging? The term backpressure is used all too wrongly, right up there with the "weight" of oil to use rather than viscosity.
