Icon3 Tranny help please!!!

91 integra 5spd
car will only go into gear when turned off, once car is turned on it will not go into any gears? no grinds and didnt slip at all. parked the car for class came out and this issue started.

check you fluid? check to see if the slave cyclender is leaking.

my friend had the same issue,he said its the clutch,i replaced that for him and still nothing.so don't change the clutch. he tired leaving it in gear while off and then just starting it but it made a loud noise and grinds when he tried to put it in reverse. I'm guessing its the transmission it self or linkage.not sure,he ended up selling it. good luck

i didnt think it would be the clutch.. idk what it could be.
would the cable have anything to do with it?

it could be your cable, a spring on your clutch came out, the release bearing, it could be alot of different things you're not going to know until you drop the trans

you can check your tranny fluid and you can check to see that your clutch cable isnt broken. Other than that you'll need to drop the transmission, its not too hard

i was told that it was just the clutch... the cable is fine i havent got to check the fluid yet

it happened to me before, car never showed any signs of wear, gears went in good, clutch never slipped, came out one night started it and it wouldnt go into gear, dropped the trans and my clutch was completely gone

Its your clutch, I had the same issue with my uncles accord. He needed a clutch replacement so I did everything. After the install the dumb car wouldnt go into gear when the car is turned on. So after messing with everything I had to take everything apart again. Took the clutch off and realigned everything. Second time everything came out great.
