90' accord F23a swap help
I got the motor in the car, its a complete f23a out of a 99 accord. using a 95 vtec accord intake manifold to keep the car OBD1 also using the POA ecu. Im currently using the Distributor from the 90 accord and cant get it to start. I think the firing order may be off but also read somewhere that the cam may be 90 degrees out or something like that. Any ideas or pointers?
Check the basics first. Do you have fuel pressure? Do you have spark? Do you have injector pulse? If that is in order, set the cam at #1 TDC. Make sure the crank is also at TDC. Pull the dist cap off and check to see if the rotor is pointing to #1 plug wire. If you are indeed 90 degrees off, You can just rearrange the wires at the cap. Set #1 at the rotor. And in direction of rotation, install #3, #4, and #2. The firing order is the same 1342. Your car is gonna be a Torque BEAST when you get it running!

got it fired up the plug wires were 180* out of order. got to finish a couple loose ends. like throttle cable bracket and a bracket to hold the dipstick tube, but all in all it was a straight forward swap.
You could've just stick with the F23 IM, Bigger runners. How do you do that? Just get a rosko IACV adapter plate to retain your F22 2-wire IACV; simple as that. Then extend the IAT, FIA, and IACV sensor wire.
