Hey guys. I gotta 91 civic hatch Si with a b16A engine.
I have the integra GSR tranny in it.


I'm having some transmission Problems...

Whenever I try to shift into second at high RPM's, I gotta wait for the RPMs to reduce before it will actually go into second.
If i don't wait it just won't go in.
Any suggestions? or maybe this has happened to you too..?
Any Info would be great. Thanks a lot in advanced.

 

bad syncros, had the same problem put all new syncros and bearings shifts perfect now. pretty much it needs to be rebuilt.

yup bad syncro's. are ys1 trannys db2 GSR trannys? I have one but idk if its a xsi b16 or gsr b17

 

I'm not sure...
I thought the YS1's came out of a 90-93 integra, not gsr.
But i have heard the JDM YS1 is the same.

 

I heard some ys1 trannys are either out of and ls or gsr? Thats why its confusing

 

I got 3rd and 4th brand new syncros for $180.00 anyone interested.
