PLZ help me with my 93 del sol
i have just got a 93 del sol and its sohc auto and im lookn to keep the 1.5 bc im not a big fan of the v-tec and i would like to no how to make it in to a 5 speed i have worked on trucks but not cars
Well, first off, you will need a 5 speed tranny from a dseries. Try and Find the Si tranny, as it has shorter gears, you will also need the complete Clutch, flywheel, Axles, tranny mounts, shifter linkage, shifter, ECU from the car the tranny came from, and all the various bolts and nuts. Gauge cluster is optional, if you dont want to have the auto gear indicators. Installation is pretty straight forward if you have worked on trucks and cars. Remove the wheels, on both sides, take out the axles, (which usually requires removal of the suspension, unless your good at somehow snaking the axes out of the strut fork) then removing the transmission, put the 5 speed mounts in and install the flywheel and clutch components, and then drop in the new tranny. Install the new axles, Refill the 5speed tranny with Honda MTf ( I recommend getting the "new" formula its very similar to GM Syncromesh, which reduces grinding, and helps reduce friction, resulting in better fuel economy), install your shifter linkage and shifter setup. And install the 5speed ecu, and then reinstall your suspension/wheels. This is a very quick run through on how to do it, I KNOW there are many more detailed guides, I'm just letting you know what your getting in to.

Ahh crap forgot that stuff. Well either way I did say that it was just a quick run through to give the OP an idea of what he was dealing with.
