97 accord transmission problems
A friend gave me this car (otherwise in an amazing condition). When i started it up, it wouldn't go anywhere, forward or reverse, but after idling for about 30 seconds, there was a ca. 1 minute window when i could drive it, although it was slipping really bad, after that it wouldn't move again. Had a code for Solenoid B.
Tried the solenoids first, didn't fix it. Put a used transmission it it (150K), and it's still doing the same thing.
Before i pull the tranny out again (has a 30 day warranty), i figured i'd ask you guys if anyone ever had this problem. I know there was problems with TCM-s in earlier model years, but this car has only 1 computer and the cirquit board doesn't show any signs of corrosion, burn marks etc.
Also, how hard is it to rebuild this transmission and what's the best place to get an overhaul kit ?
Thanks !

Sounds to me that if you put another tranny in the car and it is doing the same thing then it probably isn't the transmission. I am not really sure what it could be, never heard of something like this. I have had a car that wouldn't shift into overdrive, tried the solenoids and all that good stuff. Ended up selling the car as is. GL though
