Default Carbon Fiber Hoods... rice?

Guys, are carbon fiber hoods now considered rice? Ive had one for a couple years on my 90 integra and it has come to my attention that my car now looks ricey. So sad... Do I have to now get rid of the hood to avoid being called a ricer?

Here is my now ricey baby:

CF hood on Integra isn't rice since it would save a lot of weight. But CF wing, bodykit and other stuff are definitely ricy.

CF hood is ricy on S2000 and NSX.... how much weight can you save from CF over aluminum??????

Even if it was deemed rice, just paint it the color of your car. It will save you the weight like you wanted originally. I think they look very clean. Considering getting one for my white gsr, as well.

CF hoods are cool....CF fenders and kits really push the thin line between rice and jdm...IMO

A carbon fiber fender is definitely for looks. a fender cannont weigh more than 8 pounds. The main reason a hood is heavy is because of the bracing.

BTW a metal hood doesn't really weight that much.

yea i know....fenders are hella light as they are...CF body kits bother me a little more...i could see some one claiming the body kit saves weight but just having such a large body add on even if its made in CF would be just as heavy if not heavier than the stock bumpers...well anyways

cf hoods aren't ricey IMO. your car looks really nice. you shouldn't care what people think of your car, because its yours and not theirs. keep the cf hood!

cf hoods on some cars are ricey to me. Yours looks fine, but on some looks like crap. I've seen cheap cf hoods weighing as much as a stock hood. If so, then that's rice. I hope yours isn't like that. I dont like the plate in the window either. Either on or off.
