i got a gsr in my civic... my hood hits the valve cover. does anyone else do this??

 

i got a b16 my hood is fine..my boy got a gsr his is fine, my other boy got a type-r his is fine also

 

maybe yours is growing? growth spurt?

Ok ok. We need a little more info to help you. So here are the questions for you. If your engine is hitting the hood, is this causing you to not be able to close the hood or does it rattle or what? How do you know it hits it. Also if it is hitting, that is really odd. i would start looking at your mounts to see if they are straight. Also did you just recently get the swap done or did you buy the car like this?

 

My hood is very close to touching with my B18.

 

Make sure your drivers side mount is broken. Also make sure all your mounts are there and tightened. Mine hit my hood once, but its never happened again. Also, EEK, b16 motors sit 7mm lower than b18c's, so of course your b16 wont hit your hood.

 

I new it sit lower i didn't that much lower though
