There is a shop in IL called CM Werks. I saw the CM on your screename and thought it may be your shop.
What shop do you work @/own?

 

That is not me. Right now I do this on the side from my day job as an engine machinest. I will be starting my own shop in about 11-13 months.

 

I'm sorry I might have missed it, what is this thread about? I'd be super interested in the sleeving process and the machines used to cut the holes.

 

I am sorry to say that I am not doing the sleeving part. One was done by BP racing, and the other at Darton.

 

These are a few pics of the F22 in the boring bar.

 

Tomorrow it will be finish honed to size with 150, 280, 400 grit stones then plateau finished.

 

These pics are 150 grit.

 

This is the 280 grit.

 

And the final finish and proper cross hatch with 400 grit.

 

These pics do no justice. I will post more once it has been washed.

 

Both of these will be getting Wiseco pistons and H beam rods. Both are for boosted application.

 

The F is near complete. Balance shaft eliminator kit will be installed soon and I will post more pics.

Thank you. The H will have Mahle pistons in it, so keep an eye out for that. This F actaully has H22 rods in it and milled pistons that I polished to keep the piston to deck at zero.

 

Well, the H is done. I really like these Mahle pistons. The direct pin oiling is nice and the cc offerings are right in between everyone else. With these pistons and a .030 gasket, comp is 9.65. This is a road race build with boost. Customer wanted low end torque as well as top end power. Cant wait to see it on the dyno.

Updates on the F are coming soon. Dyno numbers and my mix and match parts list are coming soon as well.
