Its a 2000 PY and everything else looks to be in very good shape... I just feel like he had a turbo kit or been in some kind of accident after seeing these 2 things under the hood...

Looks like he cut the fan shroud and lost the piece that goes from the nipple into the intake. Perhaps he had an aftermarket intake and went back to stock.

a AEM intake can't fit that hose to that goes to that nipple(i replaced that hose with another). I had to cut the shroud on that same fan to get my knock-out rmf header on there. There is still a chance that there was a turbo kit there, but i couldn't tell ya.

yeap! from the looks of it, i dont think it was turbo. looks just like its missing the hose from the intake to the valve cover and seems to be just a cracked fan. there is still ac on the itr so if it was boosted it had to be ac compadable (unless the owner put it back on) and doesn't look like he slaved the coner of the block which when you run a turbo with ac, sometimes you have to cut that piece of the block!

Thanks. I'm beginning to think more and more that it was a turbo kit. If it was just headers or an intake, i dont see why he would take them out before the sale. On the other hand, i can totally see why he would uninstall the turbo and sell it as stock.

decisions decisions..

Why don't you just ask the seller? If he seems shady I would look elsewhere.

I have not seen the car in person as he lives 4 hrs away from me. He gaurantees that the vins match everyone. And these are the pictuers he sent me.
Is there even an intake that runs through that way? Just seems very odd that that area would crack on its own.

Fitment of hood on passenger side not perfect. But otherwise looks very clean
