I have got all 4 wheels pointing in the same direction. all the bolts are tight and I think I might even not spin in this one.

Now I'm jealous... they wouldn't classify my Miata in the ECHC... I even said I'd put the or badges on it!

 

That would be somewhere in the HPDE ranks. I figure since I am a NASA official of sorts I have taken enough of a "vacation" since CMP and it is time to get back to work. The problem is that being at a track and not driving = sucks ***. I have been offered a few cars but after what happenned at CMP I am really not wanting to drive anyone elses vehicles. So what is left for a guy to do? Well I see this white 1994 Mustang Cobra sitting here that hasn't seen a track since last September. All I need to do is find someone who has a weekend's worth of race brake pads I can sponge off of and a set of tires (street are fine and I have at least one set offered thus far). I figure if I can get it out for nothing why not go drive. I haven't really been on-track since Summit Point. I took about 6 laps at CMP but that was it.
That is because us Honda guys don't want to get our asses kicked by some girl in a Miata.

 

Do make sure you put GOOD fluid in this time too... I remember what those brakes did at the JC last year.

LOL!!! (I think my times last weekend would have put me very nearly, if not completely, DFL. )

Sunday, JJ lets me get down beneath the starter stand, hanging out from the the access door on the track with my video camera during the A/I race. It was a very exciting, yet frightening, experience.

 

I've got that Valvoline fluid in it which seemed to do ok. The problem at JC was the pads I think. I do have some Super Blue I can put in though (since I will probably go to Motul in the new car).

 

I'll be ready and I WILL NOT be driving at 7/10ths at VIR...just gotta get a new right rear lower control arm and bend the swaybar back, some bushings and bigger bolts and I'll be ready....oh will I be ready!!!

 

I'm there for the HPDE. Can't wait!

All Joking aside it was good to see you do well, I remeber how fast you were @ VIR Full in the Comp School races and the Honda Challenge Exibition, I am sure H2 Is defintaly going to be fun with you, Franza, Williams, Jacobs, Ratcliff and who ever else shows up!!!
