Icon2 TEMP GAUGE GOING UP WHEN STOPPED??

i have a 94 accord lx. i recently replaced water pump, thermostat, radiator and temp sending unit but when im at a stop, the temp gauge starts to go up but does NOT happen all the time. when i start driving the temp gauge will go back down to where it is normally at. and i also noticed antifreeze coming out of the overflow when the temp gauge goes up. i have no idea what else could be causing this bc im pretty sure if anything was wrong with radiator, water pump, and thermostat, the car would overheat and temp gauge would be up even when im driving. does anyone know what the problem is. im losing my mind trying to figure out what it could be. whats bothering me is the overflow is getting filled up with antifreeze and coming out when car runs hot.

radiator fan? sounds like the same thing one of my old beaters use to do. for some reason the fan wouldnt always come on and when sitting at a stop light it would start to over heat some times.

i rewired the fan to a toggle switch so i can make sure the fan would be on. never found out what caused this but after i wired it to a toggle i never had any more problems with it over heating.

I agree, sounds like your fans are not working.

Wire them directly to the battery and see if they power on, if not you have a bad fan motor.
