H22A Issue ??
Hey all,
took my car for a car wash today - drove home just as it normally would, polished it in the driveway, but when it cam to stating the bastard all i was getting was a short 2seconds when i turned the key and the engine will then die. No water was sprayed under the bonnet. Ive checked the starter motor fuse and that all seems to be ok, just wondering if anyone has any ideas as too where i could look next ?? Hopefully its just something silly Ive forgotten to look at.
Thanks Matt

It sounds to me like there could be a few different possibilities. The idle control valve, if you have a super dirty throttle body (not likely) it could not let enough air in at idle. fuel pump could have craped out or fuel pump fuse may have blown. see if you can start it and keep it running at a higher rpm. if it doesn't start again then id say you have a fuel problem because of the initial start up and then died a few seconds after ignition, and if it does run with your foot on the pedal then you have an idle problem.
