Default Has anyone tried to modify a d15b8 from a cx?

I want to know what people do, other than swaps, when the are stuck with this motor. I'm not looking to take everything apart and spend tons of money. Has anyone tried to get any power from this motor?

the only thing I can think of would be to slap on a lightened flywheel, an Si tranny and install a better FD into the tranny as well. there are no ways to extract power out of that motor without building it into a different motor all together... so tranny mods would bypass the problem for now, and if you ever get a better D series block.. say an Si motor, you will have a tranny that is ready for serious action.
Hows that?

NO!!!!!! Well it is a weak motor everyhting about it is weak low torque everything. I would highly suggest that you dont put a dime into the motor . I have the same motor in my car and it is shitty!!!!!!!....Well save for a swap trust me!!1

Sorry to say that the CX motor is an utterly useless pile of ****.

By the time you swap all the necessary parts into it like the 16-valve head, beefier rods/pistons, etc. you could have just found a good used DX motor or better yet, an Si motor.

...and the CX/VX tranny sucks donkey nuts too.
