Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean?
Never seen that. Looks like someone engraved it on there. It's not stamped.
(unless you're talking about the P72).

it doesn't look like bearing codes, and i've never see that type of thing engraved on the block before.
You must have a magical block

The engraved letters you see are the block's main journal codes for sizing main bearings with respect to crank journal sizing.

The letters on the block correspond to the size of main journal caps.
The numbers on the crank refer to the size of the main journals on the crank.
You pair up these two and look up the bearing size on the chart.
Since you have all B's and C's, you have main cap sizes in the middle of the range that goes from A to D.
Just keep in mind that these codes are usually not applicable b/c of the wear & tear on the journals...so you have to either mic the crank journals (OD) & caps (ID) and do a little addition and subtraction, or you can plastigage them to make sure you use the correct bearing sizes to get the proper oil clearance.

So you are saying, that if that crank is used in that block, those are the bearing sizes that have to be used for the crank main journals. Are all cranks the same?
Where?? I can't see - please make the picture bigger.
