Default headlight

okay so the little metal clip that holds the bulb into the headlight assembly popped off when i was driving my 97 ex. that clip is now long gone and i could not find it on majestic honda. anyone know a solution?

go to a junkyard and find a 96-00 with headlights. make sure you take the screw and the thing that holds it down, sounds like you didnt have that.

thing that holds it down? youre referring to the twisty piece of metal that holds the bulb in place?

the peice that holds the bulb down should be held to the headlight with something with a screw in it

the piece that covers the little spring dealy that holds the headlight bulb in. there is a screwed in piece that keeps the bulb holder thing on the headlight casing.

Hey guys as you can see im new to this site...pretty cool site! I have a 97 Honda Civic LX and speaking of headlights I've been wondering if there is away of changing my whole headlights assembly! You see the current Headlights that I have the cover are all worn out they look really worn out! Im trying to find out what others might fit..would any lights from any other Honda Civic from 96 to 2000 fit my car??

To op: good luck finding that clip in the junkyard Im
there all the time an hardly see headlights anymore bt you can get lucky sometimes hell I just scored lowering springs for 40 bucks but keep looking eventually there will be some lights there

An califboy, welcome to the Honda world! Now go on eBay type in 97 civic headlights now I'm not sure if two door an four door headlights are different but there will be tons of options but I say convert it to a 99-00 si style my fav so far!

Yeah my friend did a convertion and I believe he got some off a 99 Honda to his 97 Honda Civic! Thanks!
