I got a 94 hatch which motor should i go for?
if you want to stay single cam, then z6 or d15b. if you dont mind spending a little extra money, a ls would be torquey and fun, a b16 wont have the tq of a ls, but will make up for it in pep and top end. a gsr/itr swap if you have about 4-5k sitting around and do everything right the first time. a ls with a b16 trans should be fun.
i got another question my other friend said that i should think about ls vtec all motor. Anyone is welcome to put on any comment i wont get mad.

it all depends on what you want ultimately. im guessing you want what most of us want - a nice blend of performance, and reliability? if thats the case, follow the suggestions for a b or k series.
on the off-chance youre after high fuel mileage and easy to repair/maintain, d15b was a good suggestion. parts are a dime a dozen, and theyre available anywhere.

Yeah if all you do is "slap on a vtec head" to make that power you're going to blow it up just as fast like all the other retards trying to make quick and cheap power. If you're going LS-V you DONT want to use stock LS internals, at the very least you need new pistons that were made to handle VTEC

Well all I did was slap a vtec head on my stock ls block and seems to be fine
What is your budget? That's the only question. K20 if you have thousands, b16/18 if like two racks (thousand). I love my B16A2 but wish I had a K20. Very simple. B was the man now K is.
i just bought a jdm b16 complete motor with tranny for 175 bucks. Look around and you can find deals. You can get a good running ls motor from a junkyard 450-650 all day. Just a suggestion.
If you are gonna do track then I would tell you to get a b18 type R.. Yes they are expensive but the motor is well worth it. Is there anthing wrong with the motor you have now? My advise to you would be not to rush on building your car. Not that many people can just pull 5k out and go buy a type r, so just save some money get the type r swap and you will never look back. I use my ej6 aka ek hatch for track use and the car is amazing at cornoring even now that it has a POS suspension.. I would say that it might if not compare to my STI
there's the smell of an oil leaking somewhere but anything other than that it runs fine. its just i need more of an excitement in my ride thats why im willing to build and put it on the track.
