Default My 1990 EX Time-Line / Build progress

Hey guys ive been working on my 1990 ex 4-door civic for some time now and been geeting lazy with the new baby and all.. just wanted to post some pics up LMK what u think. ALL WORK WAS DONE BY ME.

my goal was gunna be a. auto-x / time-attack / street car and still be EXTREAMLY LOW BUDGET. (i got it back when my wife first got pregnant. but she has her own car now)

So far ive only spent about $2300-$3000 in parts including my LS SWAP ($600) thanks to craigslist and FloridaHondaClassifieds.com.
My motor was missing the Half-shaft, alternator was off a single cam and the bracket was bent to fit , a B20 crank pulley and my trans grinded third sometimes and popped out of second, had a bent cam gear ..soo i kinda got ripped off but i fixed everything. (bout $150 thanx to ebay and my buddys junkyard)

$$$
$15- Manual rack picked up at u-pick (pick n pull/pick a part)
$40- (ebay) OEM b16a "underdrive" pulley trick
$100 -2.75 crush bent header back
$75-tanabe hyper medalion long tip for a 240sx(not on yet)
$10-integra GS OEM honda muffler
$100- Crane stage 2 cams (NEW!!)- one of the best deals by ive gotten
$350- Function Form Full body coilovers (supos. only had 50miles)
$600- LS swap with Cable trans.
$150- B16 cable trans (after i blew the one that came with the swap) with welded diff , was then traded for a REBUILT ys1
$30 -needed a big spline clutch plate since i have a ys1 trans now .6 puck clutch (used) in good condition
$300- Fluidyne half-size for crx/ef
$300 Crower dual valve spring /ti- retainers (traded for rotas i had paid $300 for)
$50 -Tanabe front lower tie bar
$80 -old school dc headers
$50- Blox intake mani (traded for $50 ebay turbo header plus obd1 injectors)
$160-ish- ebay motor mounts
$25-new seals for trans (i have a 94+ half-shaft)
$120-ish NEW cv-joints (have a hook up at autozone they covered with lifetime warrenty so IDGAF is its "cheap" or low quality compared to other axles.
$80 - $60type r flywheel + $20 to ressurface at a place in opa-locka
$40 -alternator
$40-to modify 90-93 accord
radius rods got them for FREE at the JUNKY!(had ARZ Race machine mounts and they sat the motor pretty low i actually prefer the ebay these atleast they sit the motor higher and less angled foward like ARZ RACE and HASPORTS)

Freebies
-wire tuck,batt relocation,fuse box relocated
-Competition Clutch pressure plate and 6-puck clutch (sold clutch plate for $60 it was for j1/y1/s1)
-90-93 integra linkage (i modified it)
-96 integra Rear disk conversion W/ Cables (helped a friend out with a swap)
-Mounts (Did a swap for mounts and some $$)
-Seats (LS confetti) traded for h.i.ds (i use to sell h.i.d's)
-wire-tuck
-batt relocation (only bout $5-10 in parts my dad had the battery tray already)

i stillneed a bushing kit, strut bars and all that good stuff ima make some fender braces too while i got the fenders off.

I know im forgetting some things ill add on later as i remember.. now for the pics

The pin for the diff. decided to let go right around 6800 rpm when i was shifting into second this was the end result

Before i got the car cover..lol

Accord radius / traction rods (i used both passenger sides or driver i 4got . one is just a thin tube and the other side looks like these so i just got both from diffrent accord)

After i blew my trans . just put motor in

Next time i might shave inside the engine bay , tuck brake lines ,paint and bodywork .
