i just purchased a 2000 civic ex coupe and was wondering if anyone would happen to know what the clip looking things on the top of the rear deck lid between the speaker grills are for? no one seems to be able to give me a straight answer and i cant find info about them anywhere.

i know what u talking about but i never used them. probably hooks to hold stuff like kids car seats.

 

Yes they are for the child seats. You can remove them and plug those holes if you want. Just go to a junkyard. There is info in the owners manual if you have that.

Child seat anchor points.

Earlier models have plain caps on them. I think it's '00s that got the locks standard, but I can't remember for sure.

My '97 and '98 EX coupes had/have the flat caps instead.

ALOT of people put kids in coupes.

 

really? i can see kids that can talk and walk on their own but baby on the back seem like a hassle. for that reason many went 4dr. i dont know just my opinion

 

...lol im guessing you have kids and drive a coupe?

 

If I were still daily driving the coupe and had kids, it would make sense for me to pt them back there.
