ek9 head on to ek4
Basically i was toying with the idea of doing this, is there much work involved and much money? Also is it worth it, would i get much gains? Im lookin to get a bit more out of my vti which i know is quite hard to squeeze more power out of them but id love to make it a bit more special, until i can b18 it. Id rather get some use out of the engine first. Any help appreciate, Jack.

the ek9 or jdm 97-00 civic type-r with b16b engine, the b16b head has more aggressive cams, dual springs and to my knowledge the air and exhaust ways are more finely polished than the b16a,
i have put a b16b head on a jdm b16a with a 2pc headgasket and gained 3bhp and 2ft lbs of torque and it had a flat spot 2800rpm to 3100rpm with b16a intake manifold, when we used a 98 spec itr intake manifold and throttlebody with b16b cams on b16a we got a flat spot 3000rpm to 4000rpm, you ready need to fit the ctr pistons too with the b16b head to get the must from this set up which is what we are doing next

Everyone please take note of this. He has seen the same result as i did by swapping the type r head on. I got only a 4hp increase with the head. Eveyrbody gets so hot over the Type R name, and thinks it is so much different, but it's not
