Well this is my first build thread, so bear with me. The story begins about 4 years ago when I purchased a neighbor's totalled car. The car was a 97 Civic EX 2-door which had been sitting in their driveway for years rotting. The stock motor (d16y8) had a broken connecting rod, and the interior was destroyed. The previous owners had left the moonroof and windows open for several years after it broke down, and years of rain and heat had turned her interior into a soggy, moldy disaster. The body was more or less straight, but covered with tons of parking lot dents, dings, and scrapes. After pushing her home, I began tearing out and replacing the interior piece by piece. After getting so close to completion, a tragic incident occured. A vandal poured something flammable onto the drivers front floorboard, and before long, the car was involved in a fairly severe fire. All that work, time and money burned up. Being discouraged, I parked her in my family's field, and left her for another day. Fast forward to a last week, when I decided to bring her home to finish my project. Well, not quite what I remembered...many species of bug had decided to take up residence in her, and weeds, grass, and other debris clogged everything after sitting in the field for so long. So, I towed her home and got to work. After spending several hours grinding the burned sound deadening, carpet, and plastic from her floorpan, progress is tangible....now to keep the momentum. The dash was luckily spared thanks to the soot from the fire acting like window shading. I'll try to add pics as I progress.

you got a lot of work ahead but the body and chassis looks pretty straight
