So as most of you know, the 96-98 civic ex's came standard with keyless entry remotes. Well, mine is busted and i need a new one. Before i rush ahead and order one, I need to know how to re-program the keyless entry with an aftermarket stereo. Yes i have an aftermarket stereo, yes keyless entry works with it. Every Program method i can find involves using the "valet" button on the stock radio. Does anyone know how to program a replacement remote to a 97 civic ex without using the factory stereo?
