Integra Lower Control Arms
I want to get lower control arms for my integra. I was wondering if its ok to get brands like blox and blackworks. I hear function7 is the best but they are too expensive. And what does preloading the bushing mean?
Search for "BLOX BUSHING" or just browse the first two pages of threads here and find out why you may not want to use them.
If Function 7 are too expensive either you don't need new LCAs or you need to save.

ok I searched and people say that you have to tighten the hardware while the car is sitting on the ground which will better prepare the bushings. Will this actually work if I get control arms with poly bushings?
No, poly isn't bonded to the inner or outer cartridge so there's no binding. Even if people load their suspension, the Blox bushings still crap out in under a year (from user input).

F7 or Skunk2 are the only ones with correct geometry, and F7's have awesome warranty and customer service.
So IMHO F7's or stock. Nothing else is even worth putting on the car.
Oh and F7's bushings aren't like normal poly bushings for stock arms. They're specially made by Energy for F7, and the way they're made I would still tighten the bolts with the suspension loaded. That's next to impossible to do with the car on the ground. Use a jack to raise the suspension up to the point of just lifting off the jack stand, and then tighten the bolts to spec. Get the jack head as close as possible to the brake shield, too, otherwise you won't be as close to true ride height.
Save your money for some Function 7. You'll be wasting money on those arms as you'll probably have to replace them again in a year.
It really does pay to buy quality the first time around. This is what forums are for - sharing personal experience. Everyone's stated in multiple threads to stay away from Blox and recommends Function 7. It's up to you to take the advice or to take a gamble.

all i have them on my 94 integra and nothen has went wrong yet and thy have been on there for about two years or so
Because they(blox) are cheap and colorful. There is no fitment issues, they just don't last because of the bushings and on EG/DC sway bar mount is in the wrong place.
Where is the sway bar mount? Ive looked at pictures and I havnt seen any sway bar attached to the lower control arm. Even on my stock lower control arms, I dont think there is a mounting position for the sway bar.

He's talking about the hole for the sway bar end link bolt. MOST aftermarket LCA's have the hole in the wrong place for EG/DC figment. This means you have to use POS adjustable links with spherical ends, and they end up being oriented at all kinds of odd angles. With F7 or S2 arms, the hole is in the right place, which means you can use stock end links and they'll be pretty close to the preferred vertical orientation.
Your sway bar will be in the right orientation but you'll have cheap squeaky endlinks and bushings that will fail in months and are unusually sized, so you're forced to replace them with more crappy bushings that will fail in three months. If getting aftermarket LCAs is important to you, you should consider the advice you've been given above.
On my Blox LCA's the bushings went bad. I replaced them with ES shock bushings. Got Blox adjustable endlinks. Pre-loaded to tightened everything up. Works great. The bushings fit right into the Blox ones.
Here are my Junk2's after a day of road racing... I will not recommend anybody to use or buy Junk2 products at ALL. Very cheaply made... how can you put out a product to your consumer like this?
