Default fusebox wiretuck and a/c removal?

95 civic ex

where the a/c lines bolt on behind the battery, do these need capped? im looking to remove a/c but retain heat. that being said, if i leave all the crap under the dash, where can i *cleanly* wiretuck the fusebox to?

is installing a/c as fast as uninstalling? just for future reference if id ever want to reinstall before selling.

Not sure what you trying to do. You want to remove the a/c and then install it back in?

there were some years of 92 that did not come with a passenger air bag. this is a great place to tuck your fuse box. if you want to delete the ac, simply unplug all the lines. there would be no use in removing the evaporator, because you wil still need to reinstall the housing for heat to work.

pics, year, make, model would be great.

whoops. its a 95 civic ex.

i know the evaporator needs to stay, but with that in, what are my options to tucking the fusebox?

im looking to pull the condenser, compressor, drier, and all the lines in the engine bay.

remove it for now, im painting/tucking the car right now, and finish college next year. but i was just wondering how easy re-installation would be, if i would decide to sell the car or if i move to socal, where it will surely be needed

its the same for all 5g w/ a/c option, so i presume. not really sure pics are needed.

you say unplug, theres no openings then? ive never had it apart, or messed around with a/c much. not sure if the line at the firewall needs capped, or what. im nearly empty now, a/c doesnt work. i just dont wanna drain it all and start pullin stuff before i know for ure what im doin.

go ahead and unplug your lines. your heat isn't going to stop working all of a sudden.

granted, say it rains and your windows fog up, you're SOL there... better carry around a towel in your car

If you pull the AC it ain't going back in easy. It won't really be worth putting back in UNLESS your car is in near perfect condition.

You do not need to cap the lines, it is a basic heat exchanger where the lines that are left open DO NOT feed into the interior of the car.

If you do choose to cap the lines, you can throw a quick ans line cap on there.

there is a plug for the ac lines behind the battery i would get it, you could always get creative and get rid of the pass air bag get a block off and put the fuse box under that so your still able to get get access pretty easily.

If you want to reinstall AC later you have to cap the holes it leaves behind your battery... And without AC your defrosters work just fine, idk what everyones talking about mine work great

Hmm, just wondering if anyone has put the fusebox underneath the plastic below the wipers. I know some people put some of thier nitrous crap under there.

Not a bad idea, moisture would be the only real issue though.

woulnt suggest putting it in the cowling, to much work involved with changing a fuse. I have a wiretuck, brake tuck, relocated fusebox into glovebox, and relocated battery..all without deleting my a/c or heat....

^ not in that pic he doesnt, you can see the ac hole in the fire wall, plus he has no lines, no pump, no condenser.
