Default 09 Accord Navigation Display Not Working

I have an 09 Honda Accord with factory Navigation system. The display for the Navigation is intermttient. It either comes on with the key or shows up blank when the key is turned on. It does not turn on or off or flicker while driving. Vehicle has been to the dealership twice, but as luck may have it they cannot create the problem when it's in for service and they have not been very helpful in resolving this issue. Has anyone encountered a problem like this?

Thats a weird problem. I suggest you spend more time at the dealer, As THIS SHOULD be covered in the warranty.

THe dealer must be able to duplicate the problem in order to accurately diagnose any issue. Try keeping detailed records of the failure, maybe even including video, make an appointment, talk to the Service Manager, give all info available, be prepared to leave your car there for a couple of days at least if the problem is extremely intermittent. THe dealer has no incentive not to work on your car.

most of the time the navi antenna in buried in the dash and you have to rip apart the dash to get to it I am a Honda technician and if I had to take a guess at this seems like it might be a loose pin connection somewhere in the line to the navi system I would take it to the dealer and leave it with them for a few days so they can try and diagnose it in different conditions. It would also be very helpful to keep a log of when it happens types of weather things that are occurring while this happens so that way they can try and duplicate it with the same conditions
