I want to get a GS-R transmission with no grinds or anything. I want everything including the shift linkage and the actual shifter. Include websites if there are any, I haven't found any but I may just be looking in the wrong places. Thanks for the help.

 

your not gonna find a perfect transmission unless you buy a trashed one and have it rebuilt
or have a custom one made

i asked this a LONG time ago. seems like tranny's are a mystery, no one knows where they come from, no one knows where to get them. haha, i got mines off some dude and damn, it works NORMALLY is u shift SLOW but when u shift a lil fast it grinds from 2-3! AGHHHH!

the reason is, is because all transmissions are USED
you have no idea how it was driven you have no idea the condition its in.

you cant buy a new transmission from honda (well you can but its going to cost too damn much) so like i said the best bet it to buy a transmission that has bad grinds and use the money you saved to have it rebuilt.

 

Its hard to find GSR tranny.

Third gear grind is not uncommon to used B trannies. Its also not hard to fix. a $300 sycnro kit for all the gears should fix it. (+ gaskets and seals)

But if the collars are worn, ur looking at $1000 for all the gears.
Something like $300 bucks for 1-2, $150 for 3-4, $150 for 5th and reverse... a few hundred bucks for gasket and seals.

If you replace all the bearings, add another $200.

After this is all said and done, you have an almost new tranny.

 

If you want to wait a month for your tranny to be shipped from Timbucktoo I can get yah good trannies. But like someone said, no idea how the other person treated it. But most everything ive come across has been in better then average condition. Just takes so bloody long!

Answer is right there... and shipping will very depending on where I can get one from. Sometimes Japan, sometimes Europe some place - sometimes US... all depends on what you are looking for and what I have available. I can pick from multiple suppliers around the world - so just tell me to jump and ill ask how high

Just doing what I can - I mean I can get them air mailed which takes under 2 weeks, but bah for $750... just wait it out! LOL
