Default Roll cage recommendations in NoVa

Can anyone recommend a place in the NoVa area to get a 10 point cage built/installed? Thanks.

Did you check with Ramey?

NRG is a couple hours away, but well worth the drive. Their cages are the best in the industry, IMO.

^ ahhhhh, can you feel the love.

Your in NASCAR country. You should be able to get a good cage done most anywhere.

You may also want to check with the guy's at RLZ.

I'm sure they can tell you where to go...uh recommend someone.

Inline Pro is probably the closest to me (25 minutes). Ramey, NRG, RLZ are all 3+hours away. I'll check out Tempest. Thanks.

I wouldn't have a cage done by them. I've seen their "shop" drag car cage. I wasn't impressed at all, but that is just my opinion.

I think your opinion is worthless. They are doing mine and its a 10 point.

I'm trying to find a place as close to Centreville, VA as possible. The car is just a shell, so it would need to be towed to whatever shop I decide on.

the trip to nrg would probably be very worth while, i hate doing cages and try to avoid them. just not set up to do it in a reasonable amount of time like the shops that do it every day. insane racing has done some cages for jason hunt and brian ballard, they usually do them for a pretty good price. drummond race cars in DE has done some nice stuff ive seen, mostly domestic. for the life of me i cant think of anybody else local in northern va, i know there are several chassis shops, just dont have any first hand experience with them. a lot of the local shops outsource their cages and then take the credit for doing them in house.

RLZ does not do cages, at least they didnt the other year. Howard had some Nascar guys to do the cage in his car I think.

Inline Pro would be your closest shop I guess. I have never paid any attention to their cage fabrication, but cant imagine it would be bad.

You may be right, I was just up at Inline last week. I really wasn't paying attention, but I didnt see anything in there that appeared to be getting a cage. I got to talk to them soon, so Ill ask to see if they do cage work now.

Joe I was bringing my crx to you... was gonna try to work out a deal , a 12 pack a point? but serious in nova I dont know but insane fabrication is great there is a few other shops in the md area that do great work. But if you want a deal on a cage traveling is not gonna be a choice you are gonna have too unless you hapen to live near a shop mentioned in this thread.....

contrary to what people believe there aren't tons of places in the nova area that do cages. when i was on the hunt i called everyone, and inline doesn't do cages. i talked with Insane by email and he seemed really intelligent on the subject but I think he's in MD. There was a dude in Centerville who converted my 6 pt to 10 pt but he's a bum. He didn't do what I told him I needed as far as the rocker bar went and he got it certed for IHRA rather than NHRA. Anyway, just don't go to that guy, lol. Sorry I can't think of anyone other than who others have suggested.

Mike Gerber is working out of Mach V in Sterling, VA. It's right off Route 28. His work is AMAZING! Mike is finishing up Norris' new pro car right now.

Keller's DC2 was done at NRG. I don't know about the S2000. Maybe it was....
