Default Manual Swap Question.

I have searched for this answer and have found 2 diffrent ones. When swapping my ej8 from auto to manual do I have to find an manual throttle body and intake manifold??? Already have the Y8 Manual ECU but have read one swap that says to change the intake and throttle body and one that doesnt mention it at all???

Default Re: Manual Swap Question.

The manual version has a linear IACV mounted on the IM and the auto has a rotary IACV mounted on the TB. You should switch them to the MT parts but you can also set a programmable computer or otherwise modify the swap to use the AT parts you have. Which way you go about it is up to you.
