What all colors did the Si hatches come in? Especially the 89. Thanks!

 

ive seen alot of White, Red and Black. not sure if they came Teal tho. but all those colors look sexii on EF's

I have a teal '91 si (ED7) but its painted grey now ;]

 

I used to have a teal 91 Si as well. As mentioned....black, white and red were other colors

 

this is for the US hatchbacks (Canada was slightly different):

89: red, white, black
90: red, white, black
91: red, teal, black

 

So which are all the Si colors in the U.S.?

 

Those are the same colors as US from what i know. The only difference was Canada got painted mirror and door handles.

btw, the 91 civic Si came in white too

 

USA got painted mirrors on '91 Si hatches only. We never got painted door handles. Canadian CRX Si's came with both.

Also, you could only get a white '91 Si in Canada, but it wasn't available in the US. Go ahead, try to find a photo of one

Oh wow, US didn't get a white Si hatch in 91...interesting. Thanks for the heads up, learned something new today

 

The OP had a very simple question: what colors came on Si hatches?

The thread you linked to DOES NOT have that info!! For example, does it say that Tahitian Green Pearl is an Si hatch color? Does it say which colors were specifically available on the '89 Si, which is what the OP asked? Nope.

well try reading the thread then, there's more information there than there is here, dont be afraid of reading sheesh.

There's alot more info in than thread, dont be so quick to say this question has been answered, you guys missed y49 yellow and the silver. the actual paint codes can be found along with 7 pages of discussion, so its definitely a resource worth checking out.

 

This post proves you don't know what the thread is about. The thread is about the Si hatch, the ED7. Not the CRX Si, ED9.

The thread you linked to is pretty good, but it doesn't really address the simple question the OP had.

The OP just wanted to know which colors the Si hatches came in. Yes, the thread you linked to has that information. It also has a cluster**** of other information and ultimately, it doesn't end up properly answering the OP's question.

-From that thread alone, can you tell which colors were available on the 89 Si hatch? No.

-From that thread alone, can you tell that Tahitian Green Pearl was a Civic Si color? No.

-From that thread alone, can you tell if 1990 Si hatches came with Frost White or Polar White? No.


You posted up the link the first time, which was fine. But I only take issue with you reposting it...you think that thread is exactly what the OP needs ("look no further", you said), but I'm trying to tell you: close, but no cigar.

Nothing personal man. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. It's all in the name of getting more info out there and properly informing people, not just linking to a preexisting, frankly inadequate, thread and saying "this is all you need."

 

alright If you think the link I posted is missing info, I encourage you to post with what its missing, as it is the "official" paint thread. the more info the better resource it will be.

btw I'm always posting links in an effort to teach others to help themselves, Hand feeding them answers is perfectly fine but it makes them dependant, so next time they have a question they will probably start a new thread and wait, when they could search and most likely get an answere pretty quickly. I dont have all the answers but a quick search will typically turn up the answers.

and while you interpret 7 pages of info as a clusterFuk, I see a wealth of knowledge.
